This is a fabulous Victorian Sterling Silver Scottish Agate brooch which is
set with a mixture of gemstones and Agates.
Complimented with a large Amethyst that measures approx. 10ct in size.
The brooch is Circa 1860, It is stamped sterling silver on the reverse.
It has been tested for Silver using jewellery acid testers.
Scottish jewellery was made popular by Queen Victoria as it became a
souvenir of her trips to Scotland.
From the mid 1800's Queen Victoria frequented Scotland and her
Scottish Castle Balmoral.

The jewellery comprises of different coloured Agates and Carnelian with natural
graining of the stone showing through.
A closed backed silver gallery with original pin and over catch, this really
is spectacular.
Gemstones are also set into this lovely brooch, all different types of quartz
stones which are beautiful, amethyst and quartz ( citrine )
